Data & Security

Student data belongs to the institute. Full stop.

Here is exactly what data Kosabomkai uses, why it uses it, how it is protected, and what the AI tutor can and cannot be trusted with.

What we use and why

Three kinds of data, each with one job.

Doubts asked

To answer the doubt, tag it to a concept, build that student’s revision queue and show batch patterns to their teacher.

Test results

To produce concept-level diagnostics, add weak concepts to revision and summarise progress for parents.

Attendance and fees

To keep the institute’s records, send reminders the institute has switched on and show trends on dashboards.

Student data is never sold, never used for advertising and never shared with other institutes.

Protection

Security practices, stated plainly.

Ownership and export

The institute retains full ownership of all student data and can export students, attendance, fees, results and doubt history at any time.

Encryption

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest in our databases and backups.

Role-based access

Teachers see only their batches. Owners decide who can view fees, results and parent contacts.

Institute isolation

Each institute’s data is kept logically separate. No institute can see another’s records.

Backups

Regular automated backups protect records against accidental loss.

Deletion on request

When an institute closes its account, its data is deleted after it has had the chance to export.

Teachers can see every thread

Any answer the tutor gives is visible to the batch teacher, who can correct it.

Students can always escalate

If an explanation does not help, the doubt goes to a teacher with the full conversation.

No judgements on students

The tutor does not rate a student’s ability or overall progress. Those decisions stay with teachers.
